Guiding Transitions

Transitions can be overwhelming. Organization and individuals often feel the need for guidance in coping with the uncertainty, the wide variety of choices available, and the fear of making choices without fully understanding the consequences. Organizations may think through the process without considering the human element that may determine their ability to reach their goal, or may not realize choices available to them. Together we can sort through the overwhelming choices by identifying barriers to success and prioritizing actions to succeed.

Put my unique skills to work for you:

  • Focusing on strategy and the bottom line;
  • Boiling situations down to what is most useful and practical;
  • Making the options clear, understandable, and usable;
  • Working with you in a collaborative process that works best for your needs;
  • Tuning in to the group dynamics and climate, being flexible, and responding to the unique features of the situation, and;
  • Maintaining an emotional tone that keeps the process flowing through humor, energy, and keeping it light enough to avoid getting bogged down in conflict.
I work well with diverse audiences, at all levels of an organization from top to bottom, as well as with individuals who want help with career choices or transitions to new jobs.

Whether the transition is one that is thrust upon you or is your own choice, things are going to have to be done differently. Together we can design a plan that assists you in moving from the "status quo" to your "status nouveau" while reducing the uncertainty that accompanies change.

It’s worth the investment to make sure the transition is done with conscious awareness of all the choices and ramifications. If you don’t make that investment now, you may end up paying later with lost productivity, resistance to new programs, employee turnover, or loss of commitment.
